Mercer Island Dog Owners: 'Paws On Patrol' Meeting Wednesday Night

The Paws on Patrol event will happen Wednesday at Luther Burbank Park.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - Mercer Island police will hold a training session on Wednesday evening for local dog owners who want to help fight crime. The city's Paws On Patrol program deputizes dog-walkers so they can help police spot crime or suspicious activity. The training meeting happens at dog-friendly Luther Burbank Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Here are additional details from the Mercer Island police department:

You and your leashed dog(s) are invited to the training meeting next Wednesday 6/21/17 at 6pm at Luther Burbank Park. We’ll go over your role in keeping our community a safe and enjoyable place to live, work and play. A Patrol Officer will be available to answer any questions you may have as the summer season approaches.
