Guest Speaker: Hilary Benson, TV Editor for ParentMap

Hilary Benson is currently the TV Editor for ParentMap, the Puget Sound's leading parenting resource both in print and online. In her work as a reporter for ParentMap since 2004, and previously as a TV reporter/anchor in markets across the country, Hilary has covered a wide range health and development issues. She appears as an on-air expert on local television stations including regular appearances on KING5-TV's morning news during the Parent to Parent segment.  Hilary also interviews for ParentMap's video production products national parenting experts including Rosalind Wiseman, author of the newly released "Masterminds and Wingmen."  Hilary's coverage of and interest in youth sports injuries prompted her to launch the blog, www.playitsafesports.com in the Spring of 2013.  While there is overlap in her work for ParentMap, PlayItSafe Sports allows Hilary to dive more deeply into the epidemic in this country of both overuse and traumatic injuries in children's sports.
