MERCER ISLAND, WA - Police are reporting that a service dog who wandered away from its owner on Thursday night has found his way home. The owner was visiting Mercer Island from La Conner for Christmas, police said. The dog, Grayson, and his mother, Gracie (pictured), were wandering the island for three days, police said, but as of Sunday night had returned to their owner. MERCER ISLAND, WA - Police are reporting that a service dog who wandered away from its owner on Thursday night has found his way home.

The owner was visiting Mercer Island from La Conner for Christmas, police said. The dog, Grayson, and his mother, Gracie (pictured), were wandering the island for three days, police said, but as of Sunday night had returned to their owner. Police may provide further details about how Gracie and Grayson found their way home. We will update this post if more information becomes available.
