See how we got here thanks to the 's free film series, presenting Inside Job (Charles Ferguson, 2010). This winner of the 2011 Oscar for Best Feature Length Documentary is a penetrating investigation into the reasons for the collapse of global financial markets in 2008. The film will be shown at the Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, and admission is free.

- is hosting three events this week, a Community Shabbat and Sukkot Dinner on Friday, Oct. 14 from 5:30-7 p.m., the Kesher Community Garden Harvest on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon, and a J Explorers Sleepover in the Sukkah from Friday through Saturday, Oct. 14-15 from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.

- Spend A Night With Bats at Mercer Slough in Bellevue. Learn more about bats and the environment by walking through the trails at Mercer Slough on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person, preregistration required.
