Enchanted Tales at Youth Theatre Northwest and More: Play Date!

June 9: Enchanted Tales at

• 2 pm
• For families with children ages three and up
• A young girl lies sick in bed as her siblings comfort her with soup and stories from faraway lands. Enchanted Tales will charm your children’s imaginations with fantastic tales of ancient kingdoms, beguiling fairies, magical oranges and royalty in search of the true meaning of love and family.
• Show plays through June 10, 2012, Fridays at 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 pm.
• Cost: $15 general admission, $13 youth under age 18 and Seniors

June 9: Jewish Teen Spring Fling Middle School Dance at the

• 8 pm to 11 pm
• For middle school students.
• Bring your friends and dance! The best dancer wins an exciting prize.
• Cost: $10 per person. Register online.  

June 10: Drop in Gym at the for Special Needs Kids and Teens

• 2 pm to 4 pm
• Enjoy this program for special needs kids and teens ages five to fifteen.  Meet up with friends and family to enjoy playing in facility with your child or teen.  The facility is not staffed so supervision by a parent or caregiver is required at all times. 
• Program is offered every other Sunday and the last session for this season will be offered June 24th.
• Cost: $3.25 per resident, $4.50 for non-residents of Mercer Island.

June 11: Reading Buddies Applications Due at the

• This is a great program for teen volunteers who are trained to read to children during the summer.
• Applications for the program are due 6/11 and the mandatory training takes place at the library on June 18 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

• 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm
• For teens
• Hang out, do homework, play board games or just chat. Teen Zone is a great place to complete group work for school or catch up with friends. Mondays after school with some exceptions.
• Cost: Free

June 12: Teen Study Hall at the Mercer Island Library

• 3 pm to 6 pm
• For teens
• Use the library as a quiet place to do your research for projects or study for upcoming tests.
• Cost: Free

• For kids ages three and up with an adult caregiver
• Pajamas are welcome, but there won't be any sleeping in this concert. Just songs about howling coyotes, fuzzy slippers, a monster or two and of course, lots of singing and dancing!

June 21: The Starlight Circus Show at the

• 2 pm to 2:45 pm
• All ages are welcome to this program
• The "Zaniac" reaches into his dreams to present a show that will inspire you to read!  Watch as vegetables are sliced in half by flying playing cards and feats of juggling and balance that will keep you awake past your bedtime. Learning how to use the library has never been so much fun!
