Fun activities and some sweet deals for the whole family this upcoming week.

October 14: Quarantine: Mercer Island’s Haunted Forest at

  • Preview performances this Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm. 
  • Cost: $10 for preview performances. Other dates, $15 for evening performances and $13 for daylight performances. 
  • Quarantine runs weekends through October 31st.  Complete schedule and ticket information online
  • Quarantine is a 40 minute outdoor performance by members of the and tour through the shadowy and frightening trails of Mercer Island’s Island Crest Park.  Quarantine is an outdoor, rain or shine event.
  • For ages nine and up.  No child younger than age nine will be allowed on an evening performance tour unless accompanied by an adult.
  • A special, less frightening performance called Once Upon a Halloween will be offered for younger children, ages three and up, Sundays during the day.
  • Join a tour of ten with a guide who’ll take you on a trip to meet the residents of the haunted forest.
  • Hats not umbrellas are suggested if it is raining.
  • If you are coming as a group and wish to be on the same tour, purchase your tickets online together.

October 15: Fall Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Remlinger Farms in Carnation

  • 10 am to 6 pm
  • Celebrate fall with a trip to Remlinger Farms.  The park’s rides will be open, along with the restaurant, market, u-pick pumpkin field and corn maze. 
  • Cost: $15.25 for adults and kids over 12 months. $13 for seniors 12 months and younger – free! 

October 16: Indoor Playground at the

  • 11 am to 2 pm
  • Kids six and under accompanied by an adult caregiver will enjoy zipping around on scooters and playing with balls, giant blocks and other fun toys. A great place for you and your child to get out of the rain and run, play, socialize and have fun.

 October 17: Teen Zone at the

  • 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm 
  • Hang out, do homework, play board games or just chat. Teen Zone is a great place to complete group work for school or catch up with friends. Mondays after school with some exceptions. No Teen Zone December 19 or 26.
  • Cost: Free

October 18: Teen Advisory Board at the

  • 7 pm to 8 pm
  • Voice your opinions on the books, magazine, programs and services the library offers
  • teens while enjoying light refreshments.
  • Teens will earn one volunteer credit hour by participating in the program.
  • Cost: Free

Sweet Deals

Quarantine: Mercer Island’s Haunted Forest at Island Crest Park

  • Deal: Teens save $2 per ticket
  • Teens can save $2 per ticket for Curfew by bringing a donation of non perishable food for the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services food bank.
