Power Outage Hits Mercer Island During Wind Event

MERCER ISLAND, WA - There is a small power outage affecting Puget Sound Energy customers on Mercer Island, the utility reported Tuesday morning.

The outage was affecting 67 customers in northwest section of Mercer Island in the vicinity of Southeast 36th Street and 73rd Avenue Southeast. Puget Sound Energy reported that the outage should be solved by 1 p.m. Tuesday.

There was another smaller outage Monday afternoon affecting five customers in the center of the island. Crews were reportedly on the scene Tuesday morning investigating.
