Woman Dies Falling Onto I-90 From Island Crest Way
The woman fell onto the express lanes of I-90 on Mercer Island shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
MERCER ISLAND, WA - A 20-year-old woman died Thursday night after falling from an overpass onto the I-90 express lanes. It was not immediately clear whether the fall was accidental.
Washington State Patrol reported the accident shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Initially, authorities thought that she was hit by several cars, but she was not. She died after being transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The express lanes were closed for a brief time following the accident.
