• Chehalis Tribes intends to cite anglers fishing section of Chehalis River (thedailyworld.com) — If you fish the Chehalis River near Oakville, be aware the Chehalis Tribes say they may cite non-tribal anglers in a roughly 10-mile stretch unless they buy costly tribal permits. State wildlife officials dispute the tribe's authority but are urging people either to avoid fishing that section for now or simply float through, and to stay calm and document any encounters with tribal law enforcement.
