2 Motorcyclists Dead After Fleeing From Pierce Deputies
The motorcycle driver and his passenger fled from a Pierce County deputy during a traffic stop in the Fern Hill area.

TACOMA, WA - A motorcyclist and his passenger died Thursday afternoon after fleeing from Pierce County deputies and crashing into a car.
The incident happened 3 p.m. in unincorporated Pierce County between Tacoma and Puyallup. The attempted traffic stop happened at 72nd Street East. The motorcyclist and his passenger fled a short distance to 85th Street East and Gold Given Road. They crossed a four way intersection, striking two cars, according to Pierce County Sheriff spokesman Det. Ed Troyer.
The men killed were in their 30s or 40s, Troyer said. Their identities have not been released.
