Motorcyclist killed after crash in South Hill area, authorities say (thenewstribune.com) — A motorcyclist has died after a serious car-versus-motorcycle crash at 144th Street East and 94th Avenue East in Puyallup's South Hill area, and drivers should expect lane blockages for several hours. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews responded Wednesday afternoon and performed CPR, but authorities later confirmed the rider did not survive. No other injuries were reported.

Motorcyclist killed by suspected drunk driver while stopped at red light in Pierce County (mynorthwest.com) — A motorcyclist was killed in Puyallup's South Hill area Wednesday when a suspected drunk driver rear-ended his Harley at a red light on 94th Avenue E near Red Barn Marketplace. Deputies say the rider followed the rules of the road, while the allegedly intoxicated driver now faces DUI charges with a possible vehicular homicide enhancement.
