The deal, which includes stronger class-size remedies and a state cost-of-living increase, covers about 1,400 certificated teachers and ensures the school year continues without disruption for local families.
   

• Police searching for missing girl from Puyallup (thenewstribune.com) — Police and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children are asking for help finding 17-year-old Marybella Justice, last seen in Puyallup on Sept. 10. Described as having brown hair, blue or gray eyes, and braces, she was reported missing last week, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Pierce County Sheriff's Office at 253-287-4455.
   

• 8-Time World Champion Cowboy Stetson Wright Shares Update After Scary CINCH Playoffs Injury (wearevictoria.com) — Rodeo star Stetson Wright is recovering after suffering multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung, and pelvic injuries during the CINCH Playoffs in Puyallup. He spent a night in the hospital before being released and says doctors expect about six weeks of recovery, though he's hoping to return for the Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls if his health allows.
