Sleep Country Collects Over 50,000 School Supplies for Foster Kids

Northwest foster children went back to school equipped for success this year!

The numbers are in, and Sleep Country tallied up 50,309 total items donated in its annual School Supply Drive for Foster Kids. School supplies were donated at all Sleep Country locations in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho from July 30th  to September 9th. Also, through a partnership with Wild Waves Theme Park, on August 26th park-goers received ½ priced admission with school supply donations to the program.  Donations were distributed among 18 foster care non-profit partners in the Northwest and in the Puget Sound region support foster children served by Treehouse, Bethany Christian Services, Community & Family Services Foundation, Intensive Children’s Services, and Olive Crest. The greater Seattle area contributed more than 20,000 items to this drive.

Sleep Country is currently collecting new, water-resistant warm coats through November 4th so that the Northwest’s nearly 20,000 foster children can play outside warm and protected in all seasons.
