PUYALLUP, WA - A vintage Cushman Ice Cream Scooter was rear-ended in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday. The driver and scooter were stopped in traffic Saturday along West Pioneer near Maplewood Elementary. That's when another driver hit him from behind. The suspect driver left the scene, but was later caught by police.

Cushman was founded in 1903, and was famous for its scooters sold up until about 1965. The company still manufactures products today, including scooters like those used by local parking enforcement officers.
