Arson Fire Started In Pioneer Park Restroom

Someone lit garbage on fire inside a stall overnight Saturday, according to police.

PUYALLUP, WA - One or more vandals lit garbage on fire inside the restroom at Pioneer Park overnight Saturday, according to police. The fire was set inside a stall in the women's room, and the vandals attempted to also light a fire in the men's room.

Police said the fire damaged the stall door and wall, and the roll of toilet paper also caught fire. Police could not find evidence that would indicate who committed the arson.

Mail Theft / DWLS – Arrest
400 blk 10th Ave SE
A witness observed an older model Ford truck stop at a mailbox at 0545 hours this morning and someone get out and try to steal mail from a mail box. An Officer arrived in the area quickly and located the vehicle occupied by three subjects. All three pointed the fingers at each other (friends are friends forever) for who was doing the thefts and the witness was unable to pick out a specific person. The subject that was driving was DWLS 3rd. He was booked. Mail was recovered in the vehicle and returned to the victim. The vehicle was impounded. Report to prosecutor.

27th Ave Ct SW / 20th St Pl SW
Sometime between 0430 – 0700 hours this morning and unknown suspect pried open the community mailbox at this location. It is unknown if and mail was stolen.

False Reporting
400 blk 4th Ave SE
A female called 911 to report that her apartment had been burglarized. Officers arrived and checked her apartment. During the check, things did not seem right and did not appear to be a typical burglary. An Officer spoke to management who informed the Officer that this is the 3rd-4th time the victim had been “burglarized” at the end of the month when her medications are running low. Another Officer did a great interview with the victim and she admitted to staging the burglary because she needed more medications. There are three other reports in CAD on burglaries at her apartment with medication stolen. Report to prosecutor.

Between 0830-1250 hours today, An unknown person entered the victim’s house thru an unlocked rear door and stole multiple items including a Xbox, Playstation, games and a Ruger .38 revolver. No video, no evidence recovered.

2000 blk 30th St Ct SE
Sometime between 0200-0545 hours this morning, An unknown suspect stole gas from one vehicle and entered another vehicle and stole items at the listed address. No damage and the vehicle was believed to have been left unlocked.

Burglary
400 blk Valley Ave NE
Sometime between 0600-0700 hours yesterday morning, an unknown person entered the victim’s apartment through an unlocked slider door and stole multiple items. No video and no evidence.

200 blk 21st St NW
Sometime overnight, between 1800 hours and 0800 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole multiple items.

Package Theft
100 blk 9th St Sw
On 11/29 at 1435, a male with medium build 30 years of age wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and jeans stole 2 packages off the front porch and fled in a matte black vehicle driving by a female with blonde hair.

Assault
3800 blk 9th St Sw (Olive Garden)
At 1500 hours; two females met at the listed location to facilitate the sale of a PS4 which was negotiated on OfferUP. The 2 got into an argument and one was assaulted. An Officer was able to do some research and located a local residence (just out in the county) for the suspect vehicle. He made contact with the other party who had a different story. He was released to his mother. Report to Remann Hall for review.

Trailer Theft & recovery
2300 blk Shaw Rd
On 11/30 between 1830-1844, it is believed a male stole a white 2014 Forester trailer from the listed residence. A male and a female were contacted by PCSD around 1500 today (12/1) in possession of the suspect truck and trailer. Both were impounded by PCSD for unknown reasons. Report to Detectives.

Between 1800-2050, the victim’s vehicle was entered by unknown ways. Stolen from the vehicle was a Pink Ruger 9mm. Prints attempted, none located and gun was entered.

Between 0600-2100 unknown person(s) stolen Karate equipment out of the victim’s unsecured vehicle. No prints phone report.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery
400 blk W. Meeker
Utilizing his stolen plate reader; an Officer located a Seattle stolen white 1999 Lexus RX3 parked. The vehicle was still warm and appeared to have just been parked. After sitting on it for a few hours; the owner was contacted and requested it be towed. When the tow arrived; multiple people exited the Meeker Apts and one just happened to have the key to the vehicle on him. He claimed a “friend” who lives in Seattle showed up tonight and gave him the key but was now gone (and Pinocchio had a short nose too). It was towed and cleared.

DUI
400 blk S. Meridian
A female was stopped for expired tabs and was found to be impaired. She was arrested, had been drinking at Bumpy’s, and blew a .186 & .189.

Malicious Mischief
3000 blk E. Main
Between 0400-0500 the victim said she heard her screen being cut. When she looked at the window, she observed an older male in dirty clothes running away. She noticed another window screen facing the parking lot suffered similar damage. The windows were locked. No other information.

Theft
Walmart
Two juveniles had stolen several hundred dollars worth of video games. Loss Prevention contacted them and recovered the merchandise before they fled. The vehicle was located leaving the lot.

Malicious Mischief
400 blk River Road (DOL)
A female said she was angry because she thought DOL stole pictures from her, so she broke a large window. She then chased another female believe she stole her pants.

DUI
N Meridian/River Road
Responding to a call of “very erratic driving”. The drive was found to be impaired. A blood warrant was obtained.

Making False Statements, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Warrants
300 blk 31st Ave SE
A male was contacted. He lied about his name to conceal warrants and his pants burst into flames as he was the daily winner of Liar Liar Pants on Fire. He had just finished smoking Methamphetamine. He was booked.

Minor In Possession
Walmart
A male was being disorderly inside Walmart. An Officer contacted him and he was intoxicated. He was cited.

DUI
500 blk 43rd Ave SE
A male was stopped for a moving violation. Unknown drinking location. BAC was .104 and .102. He was booked.
