It is not their fault!

Think before you speak

I am fed up with the stupid comments regarding homeless, people, individuals and families.  Think your comments through first:
"It is their fault" - People WANT to live out of their car, no bathroom, no bed, etc...;
"They don't want to improve" - Families LIKE not having a home, or home is a tent or car, or staying with another;
"Anyone can find a job" - Try finding a job, take an hour, pretend your out of work, and see who will hire you;
"It can never happen to me" - That is what most homeless though too.

These are just cop outs so you can ignore them.  This situation will not improve if we do not help.  How will these people recover, learn and keep their faith?  We must help them!
Don't just look the other way when you pass, say hello, start a conversation.  They are human, and a smile could brighten their day.

Treat them as you would want to be treated.   Wouldn't you want someone to say hello, and smile, not cross the street because you are approaching?  I would!
