A Burning Car, Heroin, And The Unseen Puyallup Police Officer
It sounds like the setup to a bad joke. But a situation one Puyallup cop had to deal with recently is pretty weird.

PUYALLUP, WA - It's Friday the 13th and you're a Puyallup police officer parked in a lot off 31st Avenue Southeast. All of a sudden, a burning car rolls into the lot and you see two passengers in the car cooking heroin as if everything is normal. What would you do?
The only thing you can do: make some arrests.
An officer witnessed this strange scene Friday near the Wal-Mart along South Meridian. As the burning car rolled into the lot, the driver jumped out and tried to put the fire out. But as he was tending to that, his two passengers went about cooking up heroin. And not one of the three men noticed the police car parked nearby.

The officer got out of his car and approached the driver - he immediately told the officer he had a Department of Corrections warrant. The driver was arrested on the warrant, and the two passengers were arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.
