'CIA Agent' Starts Fistfight With Puyallup Cop

The man claimed to be a CIA agent. Then he picked a fight with a Puyallup cop who teaches self-defense.

PUYALLUP, WA - Like any good spy, the man appeared quietly and without warning at the Puyallup police station. He urgently needed to contact "Langley," he told officers, but could not say why.

He first approached the back gate of station, hitting the call box and asking to be let inside. He was turned away, so he went around front. That's where he met a Puyallup sergeant who happens to teach defensive tactics to other officers.

When the sergeant opened the front door of the station, the man tried to push his way inside. The sergeant asked the man to step back, which he did. But growing more impatient that he wasn't able to enter the station to call Langley, the self-described spy wound up and punched the sergeant in the face.

The sergeant and the "CIA agent" struggled, crashing down the front steps of the station. A second officer arrived and was able to shoot his Taser at the agent, subduing him. The officers then put him in handcuffs.

After getting some medical treatment for the Taser wounds, the 35-year-old finally got his wish: police took him inside and booked him on a charge of third-degree assault.
