Crime In Puyallup: FBI Releases New Statistics
The FBI on Monday released a report on various crimes as reported by police departments in cities across the U.S.
PUYALLUP, WA - The FBI on Monday released its latest report on crime in cities around the U.S., the "National Incident-Based Reporting System 2015." About 6,600 police departments from around the U.S. contribute statistics to report, including Puyallup Police.
According to the report, property crimes were the most common in 2015 with over 4,442 of those crimes ranging from vandalism to shoplifting. Among cities with a population near 40,000, Puyallup had the most property crimes in the state of the agencies that reported data to the FBI.
For example, Bremerton, with a population of 38,755, had 2,478 property crimes; Olympia, with a population of 49,000, had 3,551 property crimes.
