Dog Rescued From Puyallup House Fire

Central Pierce firefighters successfully revived and rescued a dog from a house fire in Puyallup Friday morning.

PUYALLUP, WA — Central Pierce Fire and Rescue made quick work of a Puyallup house fire Friday morning and saved a beloved pet in the process. Firefighters responded to a house on 4th Street Northwest shortly after 9:30 a.m. The Puyallup Police Department closed the road between 7th Avenue Northwest and West Stewart while firefighting efforts were underway.

Central Pierce said a dog was found inside the home, which fire crews were able to carry to safety and revive. The pet was taken to the vet for evaluation.

Firefighters said no other pets or people were injured in Friday's fire. The fire marshal will work to determine what ignited the blaze.
