Drunk Man Calls Cops To Test Their Response Time
A drunk man called the police because he was "drunk, bored and wanted to see how long it would take us to arrive."

PUYALLUP, WA - Here's a case of drunk dialing gone wrong. An intoxicated 53-year-old man called the police at 12:53 a.m. Monday to see how long it would take them to respond. He reported that "there has been an accident" and that a female's body was on the floor of his house in the 14300 block of Pioneer Way E.
Dispatchers kept the man on the line, who told them he was armed and that he was going to be shot. The man refused to come outside his home for several minutes as dispatchers continued to speak with them.
At 1:17 a.m. the man and his son walked out of the house with their hands in the air. The son told police that he woke up to find his father on the phone with 911 dispatchers, that his father had been drinking all weekend, and that there was no woman in the house.

Pierce County deputies were not amused by the man's attempt at a prank and booked him on a count of false reporting. Police said he was "drunk, bored and wanted to see how long it would take us to arrive."
The man later told deputies that he was "stupid" and had "made a big mistake."
