Escape Artist: Boy, 4, Climbs Out Window, Goes For Nighttime Jaunt
The Mickey Mouse pajamas-wearing wildman climbed out a second-story window and took off running.

GRAHAM, WA - The Pierce County Sheriff's Office has dealt with escape artists before, but none quite like this. A 4-year-old Graham boy sneaked out of his second-story bedroom this week and ran loose through his neighborhood. The boy was eventually returned safely to his understandably freaked-out parents, but not before enjoying a Popsicle courtesy of a watchful neighbor.
Close to 9 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a report that a young boy wearing Mickey Mouse pajamas was spotted running loose along Meridian Avenue East. The caller grabbed the boy to keep him out of the street, and gave the boy a Popsicle while police were en-route.
The boy, Joseph, couldn't quite remember where his house was, just that it was "far away." Deputies drove the boy around knocking on doors trying to find his parents, but they had no luck.

Just before midnight, Joseph's parents called 911 after checking on their son and finding his bedroom empty. Joseph was returned home to parents who were stunned he successfully made it out a second-story window.
"We are so thankful for Joseph's safety and for the witness who was able to get him out of the street. Sounds like this little guy might be more like a Spiderman fan than a Mickey Mouse fan," the Pierce County Sheriff's Department wrote about the incident in a Facebook post.
