Fake Debt Collector Threatens Puyallup Woman With Arrest: Police Blotter
The debt collector turned out to be a fraud, and bilked the woman out of over $1,000.

PUYALLUP, WA - A fraudster posing as a debt collector stole over $1,000 from a Puyallup woman this week. The fake debt collector called the woman and told her she owned $3,400 in student loans. He then told her she would get arrested if she didn't pay up.
But, after handing over $1,500 in prepaid debit cards to the suspect, she realized she doesn't have student loans.
