Thousands In Puyallup Left Without Phone, Internet After Fireworks Fire
Comcast is on scene trying to fix fiber optic cables damaged over July 4 by fireworks, according to the company.

Update: Service was restored to Comcast customers in Sumner and Puyallup Wednesday night.
PUYALLUP, WA - A fire caused by fireworks damaged fiber optic lines in Puyallup over July 4, which has caused a phone and internet outage for thousands of people in area. According to Puyallup police, phones at city hall are down. The city of Sumner reported that the damage was affecting the city's email access.
According to the Tacoma News-Tribune, about 10,000 Comcast customers have been affected by the outage. The fire hit utility lines on Puyallup's east side. 911 access has not been affected.
