This week at the market we have more Market Bag specials in store for those who came to the market and picked up a market bag the last 2 weeks. The bags are all handed out now- so those of you who have them should be sure to take advantage of the special offers that are extended to bag owners.
This week there are a variety of deals offered exclusively to Market Bag shoppers- including 15% discount on jewelry from Thanks Love Art, for example. Many specials are found weekly, so look at our facebook page to learn about more of those.
Also this week at the market we have special musical guests playing at 5 pm- you will like their sound! Please come by and give them a listen (and also please give a listen to any of our many buskers- they're all talented!)
Blacksmith Chris Butenko is so popular that we are having him back again 2 more times- this Friday and also on August 30. He demonstrates the use of anvil and forge. If we are really lucky, he'll have some of his products for sale at the market too- if any are left!
At 4 pm there will be childrens' activities and stories with Pierce County Library again- it was quite popular last week and we expect it to be no less than popular this week as well. Bring the kids out to experience this while you...
Sign the kids up for free or reduced price lunches with the Orting School District "Healthy School Lunch" program. They'll be at the market armed with the applications and a computer so you can take care of this right there at the park prior to the start of the school year. They'll have stickers and give aways too.
Much can be said about the fresh local fruit and veggies at the market- but I'll sum it up in one word- YUM! (Eat your produce and you'll feel better and be happier).
