July is Parks and Recreation Month in Puyallup
Help celebrate open spaces and community in Puyallup this July, as part of Parks and Recreation Month.

From the City of Puyallup:
This July, we celebrate the City of Puyallup’s beautiful parks, ball fields, recreation facilities and community programs! These services enhance quality of life, provide citizens with opportunities to stay healthy and active, and offer opportunities for life long learning.
PROGRAMS & EVENTS
The Puyallup Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating summer with a multitude of special activities for families, adults and children of all ages. The ever-popular Concerts in the Park series returns at two locations and with a new Outdoor ‘Sounds & Cinema’ Series.
Other programs include Summer Day Camp for ages 3-15, Community Campout, sport camps, summer wading pool and a diverse range of specialty classes. A complete list of summer programs/activities can be found in the Summer 2013 Brochure.
PARKS & OPEN SPACE
Summer is also a great time to explore and enjoy Puyallup’s several beautiful parks. From the lush, naturally forested Wildwood Park and scenic Riverwalk Trail to the fishing areas in Bradley Lake Park and skateboard facilities in Skate Park, each park has something unique to offer. Visit the Puyallup Parks page for maps, hours and more information about Puyallup parks.
WHILE ENJOYING THE PARKS…
As you are enjoying our city’s parks and trails, you too can help keep them clean and beautiful. Plastic bag dispensers are available in most parks to help you clean up after your animals. Also remember not to feed the ducks in DeCoursey Park; feeding causes overcrowding of waterfowl and contamination of pond and creek water.
