At one point, police say a man attacked another with a crowbar.
PUYALLUP, WA — A chaotic scene unfolded outside the McDonald's restaurant in downtown Puyallup late Tuesday night.
According to the Puyallup Police Department, it all started just before 9:30 p.m. Police say a man had come to the McDonald's to confront another man who who was accused of assaulting a female friend. As he pulled up to the restaurant, he saw the man he was looking for in another vehicle, and rammed that car with his own, slamming the car into the side of the McDonald's building, police said.
The instigator then jumped out and started hitting others with a crowbar, police said. Around the same time, a passenger in the car that had just been hit drew a rifle and began firing off shots, hitting at least one person, police said. That victim has been taken to the hospital, as has another man who received a head injury in the crowbar attack. Both are expected to survive.
