LOCAL Boy Scout Reunion TODAY

Mountain View Lutheran Church sponsored Boy Scout Troop 525 alumni are invited this evening, Monday March 16, to the church gym for a reunion. 6pm, followed by the regular quarterly Court of Honor at 7pm.

1983 Eagle Scout Mike Egan is chairing this informal gathering.

Troop 525 began as Troop 25, chartered by the Edgewood Grange about 1947. In the 1960’s Troop 25 was sponsored by the Edgewood Bible Church, and in 1972 Mt. View Lutheran Church became the troop sponsor.

Cub Pack 526 and Venture Crew 525 are also associated with Troop 525. These three Scouting units serve over 100 families in the greater North Hill area.

Historically, in the 1950’s there were TWO Scout Troops in Edgewood. The men’s group of Mt. View Lutheran Church sponsored both Cub Pack 101 and Boy Scout Troop 101 which existed for about 10 years.
