Man Caught Stealing 'Big A-- Bottle Of Wine' From Rite Aid
Pierce County deputies looked through the window of the closed South Hill Rite Aid and saw the suspect standing in the liquor section.

PUYALLUP, WA - Budding sommelier or bumbling schmuck? Either way, Pierce County deputies stopped a would-be thief from stealing a "big a-- bottle of wine" and cigarettes from a local Rite Aid.
The 22-year-old suspect had somehow fallen asleep Wednesday night on a bench inside the 128th Street East Rite Aid, and employees closed the store with him inside. When deputies arrived, they looked through a window and saw the man standing in the liquor section with an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
The suspect tried to run out the back door, but there was a deputy waiting there. After he was arrested, the suspect told police he was just trying to get drunk, and he "knew he f--ked up when he saw a deputy." Inside the suspect's backpack, the deputies found two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes. Inside the store, they found evidence he was in the process of taking a 4-liter bottle of wine.

For those unfamiliar with the metric system, a 4-liter bottle is called a "jeroboam" and is equivalent to about six regular size wine bottles.
The deputies took the suspect to jail on charges of second-degree burglary and outstanding warrants.
