Man Crawls Out Of Wrecked Car, Tells Police He Had 'Only A Few Blunts'

The crash happened along Canyon Road south of Puyallup early Wednesday morning, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

PUYALLUP, WA - How many blunts do you have to smoke before you're too stoned to drive? "Only a few," according to a hapless man involved in a spectacular car wreck in Puyallup early Wednesday morning. That's what he told police after crawling out from under his flipped-over Ford Focus.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, the driver and a passenger were driving along Canyon Road around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when they drove into a utility pole, broke it in half, and then flipped over, landing the Ford Focus on its roof. Central Pierce firefighters arrived to find the two dazed men outside the vehicle, but with only minor injuries.

While treating the men, firefighters found 26 Xanax pills and a small amount of marijuana. But when tow crews arrived and flipped the Focus back into its wheels, police found more than a 1/2 ounce of marijuana underneath the car.
