Man Dies After Lake Kapowsin Swimming Accident
The man was fishing at Lake Kapowsin his 12-year-old son when he went under the water.

PUYALLUP, WA - A 45-year-old man died at Good Samaritan Hospital Sunday evening after a swimming accident at Lake Kapowsin south of Graham. Firefighters responded to the scene around 5 p.m. Sunday, and the man died at the hospital about an hour later, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune.
The man was fishing at the lake with his 12-year-old son, according to the report. He saw something floating out in the lake and went to investigate, but had difficulty and slipped under the water. The man's son flagged down a passerby, who was able to alert authorities.
The man was under the water for about five minutes before crews were able to locate and retrieve him, according to the report.
