Man Threatens To Bomb Puyallup City Hall Over Rain Gardens: Police Blotter

During a discussion with the Puyallup planning department, a man threatened to blow up Puyallup City Hall, according to the blotter.

PUYALLUP, WA - Police arrested a local man yesterday after he threatened to blow up Puyallup City Hall, according to police. The man allegedly called the planning department to discuss rain gardens. But, somewhere along the line, the conversation went wrong and the man ended up saying he wanted to “blow up City Hall and kill all those incompetent mother-[expletive]."

Puyallup police waited at the man's home and arrested him on suspicion of threatening to bomb a government facility. He told police he was "just blowing off some steam."

Occurred overnight. Taken was a white 1999 Ford F-250.

Occurred between 0830 and 0955 hrs, Entry was made into an unlocked truck. Taken was the vehicle’s registration, insurance card, and a bag of tools.

Occurred sometime since May 4th. Unknown means of entry. The victim’s insurance ID card and a W-2 tax form were stolen from the glove box.

Taken from the lot was a white 1991 Honda Prelude. Loss Prevention was able to see the Honda leaving the parking lot area at 1252 hrs with a similar older black Honda following it.

Between 1030 and 1900 hours someone stole the victim’s 1994 Honda Accord. The vehicle was entered as stolen. Report to Detectives.

500 blk 7th Ave SE
Three males got into an altercation over a marijuana pipe. No one was willing to be a victim to the altercation. A male was arrested on a warrant and booked.

3700 blk S Meridian ST
A male asked employees to unlock the restroom door because he believed that his girlfriend was overdosing on Heroin inside the bathroom. When staff refused, he kicked down the door. The female was in the restroom using Heroin. Neither were located when officers arrived. Report to Detectives.

Between 1230 and 1800 hours someone entered the victim’s vehicle and stole her registration and insurance card. Report to Detectives.

At approximately 0100 hours the victim heard her vehicle alarm go off. When she went out to investigate she observed that someone had attempted to steal the wheels off of her vehicle. Report to Detectives.

1400 blk S Meridian
A male was high on methamphetamine and creating a disturbance in his hotel room. When officers arrived at the room, he believed he was Superman and tried to fly out the closed window shattering it. He was booked and told even Superman didn't fly through closed glass windows.
