Man Uses Grayland Park As Toilet: Puyallup Weekend Police Blotter

A man pulled down his pants and defecated in front of families enjoying Easter at Grayland Park Sunday, police say.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police have released the police blotter from over the weekend. It includes incidents ranging from an investigation of a school threat to a man wrestling with a K9 at Target - and, yes, a man who decided to go the bathroom in front of families at Grayland Park on Easter Sunday.

Sunday, April 16

No Contact Order Violation and Theft
2100 blk N Meridian ST & 100 blk Valley Ave NE
A male violated his NCO with his sister. He had left the building on foot toward a neighboring business. Officers checking the neighboring business discovered that he was a suspect in a theft from earlier that day. He was contacted at the neighboring business and booked for both.

No Contact Order Violation
500 blk 23rd St NW
A male went to his ex-girlfriend’s house and contacted her in violation of an order. He had several prior convictions. Report to Detectives as he had fled prior to police arrival.

Indecent Exposure
Grayland Park
As many families were enjoying Easter Sunday in the park, a male pulled down his pants exposing his rear to the entire park full of children and adults while defecating on the side of a building. He then wandered around the park with his pants down until he found a napkin to wipe up with. He was booked. Not the Easter Bunny some were hoping to see at the park.

Field Interview Report- School Threat
Puyallup High School
A student posted on Instagram a photo of himself in paintball gear with a paintball gun titled that he was getting ready for school tomorrow. We were notified and Officers investigated. The suspect was contacted and had no actual means to carry out anything at the school and the family surrendered anything that looked like a weapon to police. Report sent to Prosecutor for review.

Theft of License Plate
400 blk Valley Ave NE
A license plate was stolen off of the rear of the victim’s Dodge Caravan. No suspect Info.

Swindle/Fraud
700 blk 4th ST NW
Victim saw an ad for this address for rent. He sent $980 to the property manager in Texas. The guy in Texas is not associated with the property at all.

Burglary / Vehicle Prowl
1100 blk E Main
The front gate lock was picked and a vehicle was prowled. No suspect information.

No Contact Order Violation
2500 blk S Meridian ST
A female and her sister got into an argument. One sister fled before officers arrived. There is an order between the two with one sister being the protected person. Summons issued.

Suspicious Circumstances
2000 blk 12th Ave SE
Initially called in as an intimidation with a weapon turned out to be a neighbor dispute with a female making racial slurs towards her neighbors, a male and female. Another male was also contacted who was with the suspect. Everyone was armed and there are surveillance cameras on both homes. Report to Detectives and Problem Oriented Policing Unit.

Burglary
300 blk 35th Ave SE
Someone hid inside the business and when they closed the suspect stole a leaf blower. The suspect exited out of the fire door, setting off the alarm. Report to Detectives.

Agency Assist (K9 Capture)
9400 blk 192nd Ave E
A male broke into the Target store. K9 was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle with the K9. It's a bad decision to wrestle with a police K9.

Disorderly, Warrant Arrest
100 blk Levee RD NW
Units were called to a disorderly fight where a male was assaulting several subjects. Everyone refused to be a victim. The suspect had a DV warrant and was booked.

Saturday, April 15

Accidental Discharge
2900 blk S Meridian
A male was inside his apartment and thought he had cleared his Glock 9mm pistol of the round in the chamber. He had not and while aiming it at a mirror he pulled the trigger. The bullet left a hole in the bathroom mirror, where the bullet had went through. It continued through the side wall of the apartment building, and the bullet had entered another apartment building to the west. The bullet left a hole in the outside wall of that building but did not make it through the sheet-rock inside the bedroom of the building. Report to prosecutor for review.

Residential Burglary / Interrupted
600 blk 9TH Ave Sw
Between 1100 hours and 1230 hours a window AC unit was pushed in and Smith and Wesson Police issue .38 handgun was stolen. It was entered into WACIC.

Felony Warrant Arrest
2100 blk N Meridian ST
Officers located a subject living at this location who had a felony Department of Corrections warrant out of California. He was arrested and booked and told the weather is likely better in CA.

Theft
1300 blk Valley View Dr
Victim had two money orders that he mailed for his rent stolen. Report to Detectives.

Malicious Mischief
1100 blk N Meridian
Graffiti was painted on the south wall of the business. Report to Detectives.
