SR 167 In Puyallup Reopens After Semi-Truck Crash (Update)
An overturned semi-truck has been cleared, but significant traffic backups remain, police are saying.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police are reporting that an accident near the SR 167 on-ramp at Merdian has reopened after a semi-truck overturned earlier this afternoon. Traffic in the area is still backed up, police say.
Roadway is now open! Backup though is still significant. Be patient on the commute home tonight. Traffic will be backed up for a while.

An overturned semi-truck was causing major backups at a intersection near downtown, Puyallup police are warning.

The crash was reported around 1:30 p.m. near the on-ramp to 167 near Meridian. Police reported that bad backups are forming on Meridian and along River Road.
Police have said simply: "Avoid the area."
