Peaceful Resolution To Shaw Road Situation, Puyallup Police Report
The incident happened Monday afternoon in a neighborhood off of Shaw Road.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police reported on Tuesday that they were able to peacefully resolve a situation that happened Monday afternoon involving an armed woman locked inside a home. The incident briefly blocked Manorwood Drive, police reported. Police initially reported the incident around 2:30 p.m. Monday, but the situation was over by around 4:30 p.m.
According to information released in Tuesday's police blotter, police were called to the 3300 block of 27th Street Southeast to do a welfare check. At a home there, they found a woman "despondent over personal issues."
Police say the woman, who was armed, would not cooperate with them at first. Police secured the area, closing Manorwood from Shaw Road to about 26th Place Southeast. A police negotiator spoke with the woman on the phone, and was able to get her to come out of the home.
