Once again, Meredith Connie, Pierce College guitar instructor, joins the Pierce College Orchestra in performing a major work for guitar and orchestra, the Second Concerto for Guitar and Strings by Mauro Giuliani. With an emphasis on Italian music, the orchestra will also perform Sonata in a minor by Domenico Scarlatti, Balletto from Ancient Airs and Dances by Ottorino Respighi, the Finale to The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini, and Prelude 2 by the American composer George Gershwin. Admission is free!
