Pirate Assault At Daffodil Parade: Puyallup Police Blotter
The Puyallup police blotter from the weekend is out and features a pirate assault, indecent exposure at Safeway, and much more.

PUYALLUP, WA - It was quite a weekend for police in Puyallup, with a number of dangerous and strange events all over town - including an alleged assault at the Daffodil Parade by a pirate.
Saturday, April 8
Domestic
600 block 2ND St Sw
A male was arrested after he pushed his ex-wife down and “somehow” got his hands tangled in her hair during an argument over a cell phone. Upon arrest a small amount of methamphetamine was located in his pocket.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
600 block S Meridian
2 males and a female were contacted in a car in the lot after a report they were involved in a drug transaction. Several pieces of drug paraphernalia along with residue of heroin and methamphetamine were located on each of the subjects.
Counterfeit $100 Bills
400 block 31 AVE SE
Four different suspects reportedly have passed counterfeit $100 dollar counterfeit bills on three different occasions inside Walmart to the same cashier. A review of video found that all the suspects have arrived or left in the same vehicle, a silver PT cruiser which is registered to an elderly female in Lacey.
Theft
3700 block S Meridian ST
A W/M suspect using business keys that the manager stated he had misplaced opened a locked cabinet and stole two recycled laptops from the cabinet. The W/M appears to be 20-30 years old 6' 02" around 160 pounds.
DUI Drugs
2400 block S Meridian
A 16-year old was locked on radar at 64 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. Officer's investigation found that he had been smoking marijuana. A blood warrant was completed.
Assault 4th Degree
Daffodil Parade
An overzealous Pirate from the Sea-Fair float took it upon himself to run up and kiss two female bus drivers on the cheek before planting a long, passionate mouth kiss on a third bus driver. Needless to say, the kiss shocked the woman and cut her lip slightly. There were several witnesses who took photos of the pirate, who then gave the woman his card before climbing back aboard the float and sailed off down the parade route. Case to Detectives and the woman wished to press charges.
Dog Bite
Daffodil Parade
A Sergeant took an information report on a 9 year-old girl that was nipped by a 1 year old pit bull puppy when the girl startled him and reached down to pet him from onlookers. The dog and owner were identified, and the injury was very minor. Report to Animal Control.
Car Theft
2600 block 16th Ave NW
Sometime between 0000 and 1700 hours someone stole the victim’s 2013 Cadillac CTS. The vehicle was entered as stolen. Report to Detectives.
Attempted Burglary
400 block S Meridian
In the last two days someone has attempted to gain access to the building by prying the back door. The lock has been damaged. Report to Detectives.
Attempted Car Theft
4100 block S Meridian
Between 1600 and 2315 hours someone tried to steal the victim’s 1993 Honda. There was a shaved key broken off in the ignition. Report to Detectives.
Indecent Exposure
600 block S Meridian
A male became angry at a group of juveniles at Safeway. The juveniles yelled at him and then he supposedly exposed himself to them. The male denied this. Report to the prosecutor for review.
DUI, Reckless Driving
400 block S Meridian
A male was driving recklessly on S Meridian. BAC was .149 and .153. Unknown drinking location. He was booked.
Criminal Trespass 2nd
200 block S Woodland
A male was contacted in the backyard of this residence with latex gloves on and a backpack. Nothing was taken and entry was not made. He was booked.
Assault 4th DV
E Meeker and 2nd St
A male assaulted his wife by grabbing her by the hair and shoving her on the ground. Both were arguing at a bar but would not say what the argument was about. He was booked.
Sunday, April 9
Found Property / Possession of Stolen Property
100 block River RD
Starbucks turned in a wallet as found property. Inside was an ID card along with a handwritten note with three different people’s credit card and/or phone IMEI and access numbers. ID was for a local person and he has felony/misdemeanor warrants. He was not located. Report to Detectives.
Residential Burglary – Theft of Firearm
1900 blk 4TH Ave NW
Between 1430 hours and 1600 hours someone entered through the back door and the following weapons were stolen: Montgomery Ward 12-Gauge Shotgun W/ 28 inch barrel, Remington 12-Gauge Shotgun W/ 30 inch barrel, Savage 300 Carbine Rifle. Also stolen were: (Antique), Foreign currency (Japan, Philippines, Tax Tokens, Gas War Bucks, etc.), Beatles Record collection stored in a small box with a handle. No suspects.
Hit and Run – Arrest
3000 blk 9th St SW
After a collision, a male fled the scene. He was located later in the shift at his residence and arrested after an Officer obtained a confession.
NCO Violation / Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
400 blk Valley Ave NE
A male was booked into county for violating a NCO by going to his estranged wife’s apartment to pick up his handgun after bribing his 13 year old son into bringing it out to him from inside for a sandwich baggie of marijuana. He is specifically prohibited from possessing a handgun.
Credit Card Fraud
1400 blk 10th Ave NW
The victim called to report that someone had used his credit card to order pizza from Domino’s in Woodhaven, NY. The suspect apparently used his address and phone number in the order. When the victim called the suspect, the suspect got nervous and hung up on him.
Theft
600 blk S Meridian ST
A male was seen rummaging through the rear dumpster at Safeway. An officer checked with Safeway and found that the male had just stolen items from the store. He was booked on theft charges.
Theft of license plate
500 blk 3rd St SE
Sometime over the past two days, the rear license plate was stolen off of a blue 2013 Honda Civic while parked at the above address. No suspect info.
DV Assault 4th
2500 blk S Meridian ST
A female was arrested after assaulting her boyfriend in the parking lot. Booked into jail.
DUI (drugs), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernailia
1600 blk 10th Ave NW
A male was stopped for moving violations. A search warrant was applied for, granted and served. He had a small amount of Heroin with him. He was booked.
Theft, Fraud
300 blk 31st Ave SE
The victim accidently left her purse in the parking lot of Walmart. It was stolen and her credit cards were used at various locations. Report to Detectives.
DUI, Hit and Run, Collision
1000 block N Meridian
A female collided with four brand new vehicles in the Korum Hyundai lot. She then fled on foot and was located by an Officer. Due to her level of impairment a search warrant was applied for, granted and served. She was booked.

2900 blk S Meridian
A male assaulted his mother by grabbing her and shoving her. They were arguing about cigarettes. He was booked.
Malicious Mischief
100 blk E Stewart
Someone broke out the window to the business. The owner responded and it does not appear that anything was taken. Report to Detectives.
Theft from Vehicle
1200 blk 3rd Ave NW
Sometime overnight the victim’s vehicle was broken into and his laptop was stolen. The victim did not have a serial number for the laptop. Report to Detectives.
