Pit Bull Snatches Small Dog Out Of Owner's Arms: Puyallup Police Blotter

A pit bull got loose and literally snatched a small dog out of its owners arms, Puyallup police say.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police responded to a dog attack over the weekend at a home along the 600 block of 14th Street Southeast, according to the police blotter. According to police, a pit bull escaped its owner's home through an open gate. The dog charged across the street and snatched a small dog out of its owner's arms. The small dog was severely injured in the attack and was taken to a pet hospital.

Attempted Robbery
700 blk River RD
NWA male called from St Francis Hospital in Federal Way around 0500 hours to report that around 0300 hours, an unknown male approached him in the business parking lot and demanded his wallet. The male stated that when he refused, the suspect pulled out a knife and a physical altercation ensued. The male stated that he sustained multiple deep cuts to his right hand. The male was hesitant about pursuing charges, but then stated that he needed to so his medical bills could be paid. The male was vague on the exact location of the fight but was very specific in the description of the suspect. No evidence could be found at the scene and all businesses were closed at the time of the report so no video could be obtained. The male stated that he would come in at some point in the day to fill out a statement and have his injuries photographed.

OSA License plate recovery / Theft of Plate
2700 blk S Meridian
The victim noticed the incorrect license plate on his truck. The victim called 911 and dispatch confirmed the license plate was reported stolen out of Federal Way. The license plate was recovered and the victim’s front plate was also taken as his rear plate had been stolen.

Theft of Mailbox
3800 blk S. Meridian
Overnight the entire business complex mailbox was unbolted and stolen. Definitely a new tactic for mailbox theft. Thieves just make us all mad.

Stolen Vehicle
1000 blk 7th St. SE
Overnight a white 1991 Honda Accord was stolen. The car has tinted windows and after-market wheels.

Theft
400 blk 15 AVE SE
The victim inadvertently left his iPhone 7 in a restroom and found it gone upon his return. The phone last showed active using the Find My Phone app in the area of 500 blk 99th St. E in the County.

Residential Burglary
500 blk 9th Ave. SW
Between midnight and 1200 hours a detached garage was entered after the exterior locking hasp was broken and an air compressor and pressure washer were stolen.

Commercial Burglary
3900 blk 10 ST SE
The front glass door was smashed. Through some investigative work the suspects were identified as a 10 and 11 year old who stole spinners. For the old folks or anyone with even a speck of gray hair crowd this is the newest gadget and craze for kids right now to help with fidgeting.

Property Damage
1000 blk S Meridian ST
The Wallup in Puyallup organizers left 6 golf carts parked randomly in the Blue Lot at the conclusion of the Wallup. All 6 had the keys in them. Young males took 3 of the gas-powered carts on joy rides in the area around the Blue Lot. One of the carts was found abandoned in the 600 block of 9th Ave SE after it had crashed into a parked vehicle. Youths not located. All keys removed from the carts and given to PC Security. They took the term "drive like you stole it" to a new level........

Warrant Arrest & UPCS
300 blk 31 AVE SE
A male was called in because of his odd behavior in the bathroom... (don't go there). After lying about his name, a records check found that he’d previously been trespassed from the store and that he had a DOC felony warrant. At PPD jail, he tried to hide a baggie of heroin in his mouth. He was transported to PC Jail for Possession of Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia.
