Police Rescue Cancer Patient After Fall: Puyallup Police Blotter

A concerned neighbor called police after he heard someone fall, according to police.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police and firefighters acted quickly to rescue a woman with cancer who fell while alone in her apartment. The rescue happened Monday at a home along 15th Street Southwest near Aylen Junior High. A concerned neighbor called police after he heard a loud noise in his neighbor's apartment.

When police arrived, they contacted the woman through a cracked window. She told police that she fell and couldn't move. With assistance from another officer, police were able to enter the apartment and come to the woman's aid. Central Pierce firefighters were called to render medical assistance.

Between 0930 and 1020 hours windows were smashed on two vehicles and a wallet was stolen from one vehicle.

200 blk 15th St. SE
A lock was cut off a cargo trailer and approximately $2100 worth of copper wiring was stolen. Security checks requested.

Sometime over the past three weeks vehicle paperwork was stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Shoplift, UPCS-Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
400 blk 31 AVE SE
A female stole from the store and was suffering from years of methamphetamine use and possible withdrawals today. She had methamphetamine and paraphernalia on her person. Booked.

Stolen Car Recovery
2500 blk S Meridian ST
A 1996 Honda Civic stolen on 5/9/17 was recovered at 908 76th St. Ct. E, but the rims/tires were removed and replaced with donuts.

Theft
600 blk River Rd
Between 18:30 & 19:00 someone entered the employees break room and stole multiple items from the victim’s purse. All 3 employees at the store were accounted for however none of them saw anything suspicious. No video is available.
