Police Reveal Cause Of Death Of Man Found In Puyallup River

Police identified the man as a local homeless person with family in Puyallup.

PUYALLUP, WA - The man found last Friday in the Puyallup River drowned, and police do not suspect his death was suspicious, authorities reported on Friday.

Police identified the man as Jeremy Fry, 46, a local homeless man who has family in Puyallup. Fry was found in the river Jan. 13 by a person walking their dog along the river trail. Police said there were no signs of trauma or violence done to Fry.

The department's major crimes unit is still investigating Fry's death, however.
