Police Tag Puyallup Riverewalk Graffiti Vandal

Police ran into the wanted tagger hanging out behind a building along 39th Avenue South.

PUYALLUP, WA - A man wanted for tagging a wall along the Puyallup Riverwalk was caught this week when police responded to a building on a report of people trespassing. Police went to a building along the 300 block of 39th Avenue Southwest and found a few people "near the back of the building laying around, using their power, and trying to enter the back door."

While police were talking to the men, two of them lied about their real names. But officers recognized one of the men from the graffiti incident. He was interviewed and found to be in possession of marijuana, police reported.

The suspect caught on camera the week of Aug. 25 tagging a wall along the Riverwalk near Mama Stortini's Restaurant. Police believe he is responsible for other similar graffiti incidents around town.
