Popular Store Owner Killed In Robbery Near Puyallup
Soon Ja Nam, 79, was shot and killed Saturday evening, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
PUYALLUP, WA — A popular 79-year-old convenience store owner was killed Saturday evening during a robbery near Puyallup, according to police.
Handy Corner owner Soon Ja Nam was shot around 5 p.m. Saturday at the store along 112th Avenue East near the intersection of 80th Avenue East. The two suspects were men in their 20s wearing surgical masks, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
The killers fled Handy Corner in a gray 1990s Nissan Sentra, according to police. The sheriff's office is asking anyone who lives along 112th Street East to check surveillance cameras for images of the suspect vehicle.
