Puyallup 8th Grader Taken Into Custody After Social Media 'Threat'
Police took the student into custody Sunday after he allegedly made a threat against Kalles Junior High School.

PUYALLUP, WA - Police took a Kalles Junior High School student into custody on Sunday night after the student allegedly made a threat on social media against the school.
Around 5 p.m. Sunday, police got a call about a threat to the school, the department reported. Another Kalles student had told his parents about the threat, and the parents called police.
An officer and a detective found the social media post and traced it to a Kalles 8th grader, who was they took into custody around 9 p.m. Sunday night. Police announced shortly after that there was no longer a threat to school. Kalles is operating as usual today.

Police said that that all Kalles students and parents were notified about the incident.
