Puyallup Man Stabbed In NYC After Proposing To Girlfriend

The man survived, but apparently now "hates" New York City, according to reports.

PUYALLUP, WA - A local man who proposed to his girlfriend in New York City's Central Park on Friday was stabbed in the back by on Sunday, according to reports.

Connor Rasmussen, 23, traveled to New York with family for what was supposed to be an enchanting trip. His girlfriend said "yes" to his proposal, but the trip went south shortly after that. While walking with a friend on Sunday near East 46th Street and Madison Avenue - just a few blocks from the famous Grand Central Station - a man ran up to Rasmussen, told him to stop, and then stabbed him. Rasmussen sustained a 2-inch gash, but was otherwise uninjured.

"And now he hates New York," his mother, Linda Colon, told WABC News in New York.
