Puyallup Police Investigate Homicide After Man Dies From Fight Injuries

Puyallup police are investigating a homicide after a brawl on April 23 in the downtown area.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police are investigating a homicide after a man involved in a fight that occurred on April 23 died from his injuries. The man hit his head during the brawl and was taken to a Tacoma hospital for treatment. He died last Wednesday, police said

The fight broke out just after midnight on April 23 along the 100 block of South Meridian Street and involved about 10 people, police said. That location is near the intersection of Main Street. At the scene, police found the 38-year-old victim - who is from Pierce County - laying in the street. He was treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital in Tacoma.

Meanwhile, other officers located a number of other individuals involved in the fight in a car a few blocks south, just up the hill from the SR 512 on-ramps.

Although police have identified all the people involved in the fight, they are still looking for additional witnesses to the fight.
