Puyallup Storage Unit Burglarized, 2 Compound Bows Stolen

A unit at Affordable Self Storage was burglarized Sunday.

PUYALLUP, WA - Looks like someone's getting an early start on deer season. Police said a burglar stole two compound bows from a storage unit at 3500 14 St. Pl. SW sometime Sunday. The manager found the unit's secondary door had been pried open.

For non-archers, a compound bow uses a lever system involving cables and pulleys to bend the bow's limbs with the intention of creating a more energy-efficient bow. General deer hunting season, a common use for compound bows, begins in October. Check out the state Department of Fish & Wildlife's site for more information.
