Puyallup Student Wins Big Scholarship From Sparkling Ice
Award funds can be applied to tuition, fees, books and supplies at an accredited U.S. institution, including a 4 year or 2 year institution.

From Sparkling Ice: Sparkling Ice® recently announced its five Flavorful Futures Scholarship winners from across the country. Out of the 3,000+ students who applied for the scholarship, the following high school seniors have been selected and awarded scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each (total $25,000):
- Sarah Kline from Cumming, GA – South Forsyth HS
- Colton Whitaker from Arlington, TX – James Martin HS
- Jessie Zgirta from Noblesville HS, Noblesville, IN
- Rosa Olguin from Bronx, NY – A.Phillip Randolph Campus HS
- Benjamin Clarke from Puyallup, WA – Emerald Ridge HS
Sparkling Ice paid a visit to each of the winners at their high school to deliver the good news and present them with a check in front of all their classmates and teachers.
WHAT: Sparkling Ice's Flavorful Futures Scholarship program was created specifically for high school seniors to celebrate their individuality and creativity through a series of short answers and video submissions.

As part of the scholarship program, applications were evaluated based on academic achievement and on the creativity of student submissions, with the intention to showcase what makes the recipients who they are and how they plan to contribute their gifts through further education.

WHEN: The application period ran from September 15, 2017 to February 15, 2018. Selected recipients were notified in early to mid May 2018.
WHY: Sparkling Ice embraces authenticity and individuality, celebrating the people, places and personalities that fill life with flavor. As such, the brand wanted to support the future of its millennial consumers by awarding scholarships to students who demonstrate how they are authentic and unique in their daily routines.
