Puyallup Woman Involved In Deadly SR 7 Crash In Elk Plain
The crash happened Saturday night near the intersection of SR 7 and 224th Street East, according to state patrol.

ELK PLAIN, WA - A Puyallup woman hit a pedestrian late Saturday night in Elk Plain, although Washington State Patrol is not pursuing charges, which indicates the incident was a tragic accident. The crash happened near 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of SR 7 and 224th Street East, which is near the Fred Meyer in Elk Plain.
Washington State Patrol reported that Wannette Pierce, 57, was headed northbound along SR 7 when she struck the pedestrian, who walking in an unknown direction along the road. The 34-year-old victim, a Tacoma man, was taken to the hospital but later died.
The incident is still under investigation by state patrol.
