Puyallup Woman Jailed After 3-Car Crash
The crash happened Wednesday along SR 507 in Thurston County.

YELM, WA - A 29-year-old woman went to jail after a three-car crash near Yelm Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but Washington State Patrol arrested the woman on a vehicular assault charge.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. southeast of Yelm near Vail Road. According to state police, Andrea L. Nelson was driving northbound along SR 507 when she hit a vehicle pointed southbound in the left turn lane. The driver of that vehicle, Gary Hammer, 70, of Yelm, was not injured.
After hitting Hammer, Nelson's vehicle continued on, hitting a car driven by Douglas Coble, 53, of Yelm. Coble's car drove off the road and landed in a ditch, according to state police.

Nelson was taken to the Thurston County jail after she was checked out at the Capitol Medical Center in Olympia, according to state police.
