Shooting Spree In Puyallup Damages Several Businesses

PUYALLUP, WA - A shooting spree last week in Puyallup left several businesses damaged, according to police. The suspect or suspects were using a handgun to shoot their way into local businesses, including an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location along River Road.

All three incidents involved a 9mm handgun, according to police.

• At the Enterprise at 719 River Road, a 9mm round was fired through the front window, which shattered. The criminals entered the business through the broken window and took several sets of keys, but none of them matched any cars on the lot. Police found the keys discarded nearby.
• At the Brown Box Ammo Guy at 1103 River Road, a 9mm round was fired through the front door. Surveillance video was captured of the incident.
• At Destination Motors along Meridian Avenue downtown, someone rammed the front gate with a car and fired several 9mm rounds through the windows of the building. One of the rounds also hit Fiesta Taquiera next door. Two men who were in the lot told police they saw a white SUV leaving the parking lot just before 6 a.m. dragging something underneath it.
